Boris Gotovac, A1 Hrvatska
Overview of AI Use Cases in A1 Hrvatska
11:40 – 11:55 | Conference Room
The use of AI in telecom is increasingly popular – and it’s easy to see why.
Today’s telecommunications service providers face increasing demands for higher quality services and better customer experience (CX). Telcos are capitalizing on these opportunities by leveraging the vast amounts of data collected over the years from their massive customer bases.
In his presentation, Boris will discuss applications of AI in A1 Hrvatska. Although they have developed more than 20 use cases so far, he will share three examples of use cases where AI has already begun to deliver tangible business results: classification and routing e-mails, knowledge management and chatbot. They built a model that understands Croatian language, based on natural language processing (NLP). These use cases are vast enough to be applicable in almost any other business or industry.

Safe human-robot co-working in logistics – H2020 SafeLog project
16:00 – 16:20 | Conference Room
In this talk we will discuss a multisensory-based system for safe human-robot coworking that is being developed within the scope of the H2020 project SafeLog. The goal of the system is to safely measure distances between humans and robots and to localize the human worker in the warehouse environment. The technology is aimed to be much cheaper than classical safety laser scanners and therefore has the potential to drastically reduce costs for safety installations while at the same time allowing humans and robots to share the same workspace. The targeted application lies in robotized warehouses, where humans and robots should be able to work alongside each other.
