Damjan Miklić

Damjan Miklić is the co-founder and director of RoMb Technologies, a robotics start-up based in Zagreb, Croatia, which specializes in autonomous navigation technologies for material handling vehicles. For the past 15 years he was an academic researcher in the field of robotics, first as a PhD student and later as a post-doc at FER, University of Zagreb and UNIMORE in Italy. He spent a year in the USA at the University of New Mexico as a Fulbright visiting researcher.

Making tools smarter through autonomy

Human tools have come a long way from the first chipped stones to today’s powered machinery. Endowing machines with the capabilities to autonomously execute certain tasks is the next logical step in this evolution. This talk discusses the technology that turns regular manually operated forklifts into autonomous machines capable of executing tasks without operator intervention.
