He is a member of advanced computing department and his main focus of work is maintaining the computing cluster Isabella. Making sure that university researchers have all the tools needed for optimal HPC experience.
Beside that, he is a part of Croatian Competence Center for HPC, helping users get access on EU’s most powerful supercomputers, working on HPC popularization and developing HPC learning materials.
Jurica will be presenting on behalf of the National Competence Centre of Croatia for HPC (www.hpc-cc.hr)
What is HPC, and how can you get access to it?
Although consumer grade computers are as fast as they ever were, the workloads have also never been larger. What to do when your PC is not good enough to do your job, what if you need more than your workstation? That is where HPC – High Performance Computing jumps in. State of the art supercomputers made to tackle world’s largest computing problems, weather forecast, DNA analysis, computational fluid dynamics, AI development.
What are the benefits of this systems, and how can they help you?
EuroHPC – Joint Undertaking made one pre-exascale and four petascale supercomputers available for all European scientists but also R&D projects from industry or public services. Come find out where do you as a potential user fit in, and what are EuroHPC-JU’s plans for the future.
