Marin is a process control systems engineer with a MSc in electrical engineering. He founded his first startup in underwater robotics in 2012 in Palo Alto. Later became CTO of a successful international startup in San Francisco, grew the team to 20 developers and made with them real-time data processing software solution for clients such as Ferrero, Nestle and others.
Founded another IT company in Croatia (krakensystems.co), where Ascalia was born (ascalia.io), becoming his biggest obsession at this moment to revolutionize factories with AI.

AI, or more precisely machine learning, brings many benefits to “real industries” – from wood processing factories to food and beverages, all of them are built out of common building blocks.
