Say It in Your Own Words – an Interdisciplinary Approach to Text-Based Personality Analysis
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are ubiquitous problem-solving tools in industry and academia. For many tasks, it is necessary to involve both domain experts and data type experts to ensure the validity and overall quality of the solution.
We will show examples of the results of interdisciplinary collaboration in the analysis of social network texts using natural language processing methods to study human personality, which involved experts from the fields of linguistics, psychology, and computer science. We will focus on the framework we developed to detect and utilize descriptions of personality in text (Statement-to-Item Matching Personality Assessment – SIMPA), which can be used for a variety of use cases.
