Tena Šimonović Einwalter is the Ombudswoman of Croatia, heading the national human rights institution and the national equality body. She is also the Chair of the European Network of Equality Bodies (Equinet), a network that brings together more than 40 institutions working on combatting discrimination in Europe.
As an international expert in antidiscrimination, she is the representative of Croatia in the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) of the Council of Europe and one of its two Vice-Presidents.
She is also a member of the new Committee for Artificial Intelligence of the Council of Europe (CAI), a body currently drafting a legal instrument on the development, design and application of artificial intelligence in line with human rights, democracy and the rule of law.
