Alongside his role at the Turing, Chris is an expert advisor to the UK's Department for Science Innovation and Technology, working as a Senior Policy Advisor, leading the development of the AI Regulatory Capability Framework and Self-Assessment, and supporting the development of UK AI regulatory policy, under the UK's expert exchange programme.
Prior to joining the Turing, Chris co-authored the AI Assurance Roadmap at the UK's Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation (CDEI) and helped to develop the AI governance approach in the UK Government's AI Strategy (2021) and AI Policy Paper (2022). In this role Chris represented the UK as an expert for the CAHAI Policy Development Group, contributing to the Human Rights, Democracy and Rule of Law Impact Assessment for AI, at the Council of Europe. Chris has researched the ethics of AI in defence at the Oxford Internet Institute – University of Oxford, co-authoring a methodology for the interpretation and application of ethical AI principles in high-risk domains. Previously, at the Ada Lovelace institute, Chris carried out research on the ethical and societal implications of health data applications. Matej Kuhar is the Head of Data Science at Aircash. He holds a Master's degree in Physics from the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, and a PhD in Astrophysics from ETH Zürich. His professional journey began in solar physics, where he worked on the calibration of STIX — one of the instruments aboard ESA's Solar Orbiter mission. He later transitioned into finance, developing data-driven strategies at a regional bank in Switzerland. At Aircash, he leads various data science initiatives, with a focus on the development of an in-house transaction monitoring system, as well as personalizing customer services.

Nikola Ljubešić is senior researcher at the Department of Knowledge Technologies, at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana. His primary research areas are natural language processing and computational social science, with a special focus on the linguistic and cultural area of the South Slavic language group. His current research methodology focuses on the responsible usage of AI in answering relevant research questions by analyzing large collections of textual and spoken data and their accompanying metadata. His publications have been cited more than 7 thousand times, with an h-index of 40. He is author of many impactful local and multilingual datasets and models, covering both the textual and the spoken modality.
Paul Duncan

Dr Paul Duncan is a Principal Scientist at the UK's National Physical Laboratory (NPL), where he leads the Informatics group within the Data Science & AI department. With a background in data modelling and uncertainty evaluation, his work focuses on developing data quality frameworks and methodologies for understanding uncertainty in complex, interconnected systems.
Dr Duncan is the Technical Lead for NPL's involvement in the AI Standards Hub, where he plays a key role in shaping national and international approaches to Trustworthy AI. His current research explores how metrology can underpin the development of reliable, transparent, and accountable AI systems. He is actively involved in cross-disciplinary projects that span data science, semantic technologies, and AI governance, and frequently collaborates with government, academia, and industry to advance confidence in the use of AI.
Tomislav Bronzin

Tomislav Bronzin is the founder and director of the IT company CITUS, an innovator and visionary. He has more than 25 years of experience in managing projects and creating innovative products, for which he and his team won over 100 international awards for innovation in IT, six patents, and numerous others. He is an expert in strategic IT consulting, specializing in using new and advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), augmented and mixed reality (AR/MR), cloud computing, big data, and analytics. Tomislav holds the honorary title of Microsoft Most Valuable Professional and is one of the few with the title of Microsoft Regional Director.
He is the author of numerous professional and scientific works in information technologies, especially on software design and development, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, innovation, project and risk management, and entrepreneurship. He is a regular lecturer at IT conferences, a senior lecturer at Algebra University, an invited lecturer at other higher education institutions, and a mentor to many individuals and teams.
Tomislav is the vice president of the Association for IT of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Board of Directors of the IT Association of the Croatian Association of Employers, the president of the Association of Innovators of Entrepreneurs at the Association of Innovators of Zagreb, a member of the Thematic Innovation Council for Security within the Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) of the Republic of Croatia, and a member of the working group for ASOO curriculum – Agency for Vocational Education and Adult Education. He is a member of the National Council for Digital Transformation of the Republic of Croatia.
Ena Aničić
Engineer, Atomic Intelligence
Ena Aničić is machine learning engineer at Atomic Intelligence. She holds bachelor's degrees in mathematics and a master's degrees in mathematical statistics from the University of Zagreb. She works on a variety of projects in AI, some of which are music source separation, document layout analysis and synthetic data generation for medical applications. Her work involves both research and generation of novel ideas and solutions, as well as engineering and efficient implementation of her results. Ena is also actively engaged in the AI community, regularly participating in conferences and events to stay at the forefront of trends and advancements in the field.

Andrea Čović Vidović
Acting Head of European Commission Representation in Croatia
Head of Press and Media Andrea Čović Vidović has over 15 years of professional experience in EU affairs, diplomacy, communication, management and mentoring. Since July 2022 she has been Head of Media at the European Commission in Croatia and Deputy Head of Commission Representation since February 2023, with the role of Acting Head of Representation since 1 July 2023. She was in charge of public relations for the European Parliament in Croatia since its inauguration in February 2013 until July 2022. She worked at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs as a diplomat on Croatia's EU membership negotiations and as EU policies lecturer. Thereafter she headed EU sectors at the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy.
During her studies, she was a freelancer on international cultural projects at the Institute for International Relations and Development in Zagreb, before being recruited as regional coordinator of international ICT projects for UNIQA insurance. She holds a Master's degree in contemporary European Studies from the Sussex University in the UK, as well as in German and English Studies from the University of Zagreb. She studied International Relations and German Studies at the Technical University of Dresden and conducted her PhD research in Comparative Politics at the University of Zagreb and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Relations in Washington DC.
She is alumna of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the US Fulbright Programme and the British Chevening Programme. A volunteer in several non-profit organisations, she is the author of projects 'Women in the Lead' for the Academy for Political Development and 'AI in PR: Educating the Next Generation of Communicators' for the Croatian Public Relations Association.

Martin Morava

Martin Morava is the CEO and founder of Devōt. During his studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, he took various international opportunities offered by the IT sector. First, he went to China, where he studied Chinese, and later, his path led him to Ireland. He worked as a developer and later as a development manager in several international companies. Marko Čuljak

Marko Čuljak has a master's degree in computer science. After spending 2 years as a data scientist in industry, he returned to academia and is currently a PhD student at TakeLab FER. His research focuses mainly on explaining the behavior of language models and enhancing their capabilities to reliably integrate factual knowledge when constructing responses, thereby mitigating their biases and improving their trustworthiness.
Marija Boskovic Batarelo

Marija Boskovic Batarelo is the founder of Parser compliance. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Zagreb, passed the bar exam, and completed master of laws program in Law and Technology at Tilburg University in the Netherlands, focusing on the new personal data protection regulation – GDPR.
She gained work experience in law firms and banking industries. For the past 10 years, she has been working as a data protection officer and advising clients in the fields of information security, privacy, personal data protection, trade secret protection, and the development and implementation of new technologies.
Until the end of 2024, she worked for a year as an external advisor for the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency on the multinational and multidisciplinary EU project ARC2. The project resulted with the development of the online tool Olivia, covering 15 GDPR topics aimed at helping entrepreneurs with GDPR compliance.
In 2024, she has been listed among the 50 most influential women in the High Tech industry in Croatia. Marija is a mentor for AI start-up entrepreneurs in the Bird incubator, a member of the CroAI, member of ICC Commission on the Digital Economy, head of the Compliance Committee of the International Network of Business Women, a member of the Management Board of the Association of Corporate Lawyers, and one of the founders and vice-president of the Croatian Compliance Association.

Josip Šarić is a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana, supported by the SMASH postdoctoral program. Prior to this, he completed a PhD and two-year postdoc at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. His research interests focus on computer vision and deep learning, with a particular emphasis on topics such as panoptic segmentation, open-vocabulary recognition, label-efficient learning, and related areas.
