Prof. Ivan Petrović is a full professor at University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. He is the head of the Laboratory for Autonomous Systems and Mobile Robotics (LAMOR, http://lamor.fer.hr) and also the Co-director of the Croatian Centre of Research Excellence for Data Science and Cooperative Systems.
His research interest is in advanced control and estimation techniques with their application in control and navigation of autonomous mobile robots and vehicles. He has led more than 30 national and 20 international scientific projects. Currently, he is involved in 4 Horizon 2020 and 4 ESIF projects. He published his research achievements as author or co-author of more than 50 papers in scientific journals and more than 180 papers in proceedings of international conferences.
Prof. Petrović is a member of IEEE, Croatian Academy of Engineering (HATZ), Chair of the Technical Committee on Robotics (T4.3) of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC), and a permanent board member of the European Conference on Mobile Robots. He received several scientific awards, among which are the two most important ones the “National Science Awards of the Republic of Croatia” (2011) and “Science Award of the Croatian Academy of Science and Arts” (2017).
