Petar Zečević

Petar Zečević, an IT veteran with over 20 years of experience, began as a Java developer and IBM consultant. He’s since excelled in Big Data solutions and authored “Spark in Action” (Manning, 2016). He completed his PhD in Computer Science at FER, University of Zagreb in 2024. Petar is a Senior Principal Consultant at Solvership on various data engineering and science projects.

Doing Data Science with Dataiku

Dataiku is a data science and machine learning platform focused on helping data scientists and business user teams collaborate on low-code and code-based data science development, with easy-to-use features to accelerate model building and deployment. Although Dataiku is a three-time Gartner leader in data science platforms, it is still not well known in Croatia. To correct this, Petar will present the main features and show a short demo of the platform including data preparation, model training, and putting models in production.
