Privacy in the AI Era

Privacy is a topic that garners much discussion, yet the intricacies and challenges it presents are often not fully understood within the professional community. The distinction between privacy and security is crucial, yet commonly overlooked. A breach in privacy can have dire consequences, exposing vulnerable individuals to potential harm. For businesses, it can erode the competitive advantage, potentially leading to their downfall. This presentation will explore the development of privacy over time, highlight the dangers of linkable data, and emphasize the critical role of disclosure control.
